The jacks on GA2DSub come from Switchcraft — the same manufacturer whose open-face aviation jacks are already in the panels of thousands of general aviation aircraft flying today. We use a different form factor built for board-mount, so you get the pedigree and reliability you expect, in a package that drops onto a PCB.

Every joint that carries audio is factory-soldered on the PCB. Installers don’t reach for an iron — you land the harness on a connector and you’re done. Faster installs, fewer cold joints, and a repeatable result from one aircraft to the next.

Easy DE-9 (“DB-9”) termination

GA2DSub breaks the headset station out to a standard DE-9 connector — the same footprint your shop already keeps in the drawer as “DB-9”. Use whichever DE-9 backshell and pin style you prefer, run your harness back to the audio panel, and terminate with the connector system you already trust.

The Printed Circuit Board itself is shielded to keep audio clean in a noisy aircraft environment — strobe supplies, alternator whine, avionics buses, and everything else that lives behind the panel. Your intercom stays quiet where it should be quiet.
