Which flight simulators and apps does it work with?
Short answer: Any simulator or app that can use a USB headset — including Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS), X-Plane, PilotEdge, VATSIM, IVAO, and ForeFlight. The adapter appears as a standard USB audio device, so you select it as your speaker and microphone like any other headset.
The adapter behaves like a USB sound card. Once it’s plugged in, it appears in your system’s sound settings, and any program that lets you choose an audio input and output can use it:
- Simulators: Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS), X-Plane
- Online ATC networks: PilotEdge, VATSIM, IVAO
- Tablet apps: ForeFlight and other EFB apps on an iPad with USB-C
Set the adapter as both the output (speaker) and input (microphone) device — either system-wide or inside the simulator’s audio settings.
Want to hear your own voice? Real aircraft intercoms play your voice back into your headset (sidetone). The free USB2x Toolbar app adds that — see How do I hear my own voice in the headset?
