Do you make an adapter for helicopter (U-174) or XLR (Airbus) headsets?
Short answer: Not currently. We make adapters for GA dual-plug headsets (USB2GA) and 6-pin Lemo headsets (USB2Lemo). Helicopter U-174 and XLR (Airbus) headsets would need a separate plug adapter to GA dual plugs.
It’s not that we don’t love you all — we do. But we had to start with what we thought would see the most adoption. Our thinking is that most of our customers are pilots working on their private or sport certificates and/or instrument ratings who want more practice at home, for example with PilotEdge. Gamers will likely have computer-specific headsets instead, so that market isn’t large.
You can still use our adapters with a helicopter (U-174) or XLR headset, but you’ll need a plug adapter to GA dual plugs (PJ-055 / PJ-068) to use the USB2GA. If there’s enough demand for a dedicated version, let us know.
