Does it work with an iPad, iPhone, or Android device?
Short answer: Yes — with any iPhone, iPad, or Android device that has a USB-C port, plus Windows, macOS, and Linux computers. It's a plug-and-play USB audio device, so there's nothing to install.
In addition to Windows (7 / 10 / 11), macOS, and Linux (we’ve tested Ubuntu and Raspberry Pi), the USB2GA and USB2Lemo work with iPhones, iPads, and Android devices with USB-C ports. Plug the included USB-C cable into the device and it shows up as an audio device — no app or driver required.
A few ways pilots use it:
- Preflight your headset setup at home. Verify your Bluetooth connections to your iPad and phone, test that ForeFlight alerts come through, and practice on VATSIM, IVAO, or PilotEdge with your own headset.
- Travel. Flying commercial but taking your headset along? Use it for movies or games on the go. (We know you’re secretly hoping they’ll ask over the intercom, “Is there another pilot on board?”)
